Coach Roy Moore's Approach to Training

Becoming a better pitcher starts and ends with mechanics. Learning to throw using the proper technique, keeps the players healthy and can prevent injuries. Coach Roy believes the number 1 art of pitching is ARM CARE, if your arm is healthy everything else will fall into place. Coach Roy teaches young ball players how to increase ball speed by using their entire body, not just their arms which takes us back to mechanics. Recently being a pitcher at Northwest Missouri State, Coach Roy has significant knowledge on what it takes to make it to the next level. His passion is to ensure young players have the tools on what it takes to get ready for the next steps.

Success has followed Coach Roy with baseball. Playing for the Gamers travel team through high school, has put him up against some of the best talent in the nation. He has earned a number of all-tournament team honors throughout his high school career. Graduating from CBC in 2016, Coach Roy was a part of the 2015 state championship team in the MSHAA Class 5 conference. Playing through high stress games taught him what it really meant to be a pitcher and not just a thrower. Coach Roy is not only looking to make your player a better pitcher but he also wants to instill in your son what it means to play the game hard, play with pride, and play with respect.
Pitching lessons with Coach Roy will focus on mechanics, gaining velocity, ARM CARE, throwing breaking balls properly, pitch sequences, strength and conditioning, and much more. Coach Roy’s ultimate goal is to be a positive role model in each player’s career.
